2024 Youth Membership Package (U13-U16)

Play football in Kingborough in 2024 !

***please email Lorna before registering –  [email protected]***

  • This registration package is for new and returning players.
  • First you need to register with the FFA PlayFootball registration system (www.playfootball.com.au) then complete this form to finish registering.

The ‘Youth Playing Membership’ is the foundation football program that equips you with everything you need to excel on the field and unlock your full potential. Here’s what we offer:

  • Weekend Matches: All players will be assigned to a team for weekend matches, which typically commence in March (depending on the league) and run through until the end of August.  Players are allocated to teams based on various factors, but most importantly, we aim to align players with a team environment that will provide optimal outcomes from an enjoyment and development perspective.  As an NPL/WSL Club, we nominate teams in the Southern Youth Premier League, which is the highest level of competition available in Southern Tasmania for youth players.
  • Weekly Training Program: Two weekly training sessions, from pre-season in January to the end of Term 3 (September). Our club-appointed coaches, most with formal coaching accreditation or actively pursuing it, will provide guidance to all players and prepare the team for weekend matches.  All coaches are supported in their delivery of the training program by Youth Technical Director, Alfred Hess.
  • High Performance Pathway: Elevate your game and push your limits under the guidance of the best. Our ‘Youth Playing Membership’ opens the door to our ‘Youth High-Performance Program’ facilitated by Advanced Level Coaches, including our Youth Technical Director. To maintain the quality and focus of these sessions, places in this program are limited and offered separately to this program on a term-by-term basis to players aspiring to play at the highest level.
  • Other Development Opportunities: Throughout the year, we have a number of opportunities, these include an overnight camp (local), interstate camp, school holiday sessions, and other specialist sessions designed to provide development opportunities that support individual and team development.  In some cases, numbers are limited but will be made available to everyone. Costs of these opportunities (where applicable) will be advised at the time of offering.
  • Cups and Tournaments: Expand your horizons with the ability to nominate for cup competitions (Hobart, Launceston, and Devonport) throughout the season.  The ability to register is open to all youth players, and we do our best to find a spot for everyone that registers their interest.  There will be a small additional cost levied to cover tournament-related costs.
  • Free Entry to the National Premier League (NPL) and Women’s Super League (WSL) Home Matches: Players and their families are welcomed and encouraged to attend matches at Clennett’s Lightwood Park.  This environment provides the perfect opportunity to socialise with club mates, other families, and experience top-level football live.
  • End of Season Celebration: At the conclusion of the season, we celebrate together with a dinner and presentation of season awards before players descend on the dance floor.  The cost of this event is included in your membership.

Club Clothing

Becoming a Youth Player at KLUFC isn’t just about playing the game; it’s about being part of something bigger.  To support this, all youth players are to wear our club training kit for training sessions.  On match day, a playing shirt will be provided for each game by the club.  Players should wear club polo shirt, track pants, and jacket to their weekend game.  Players will also need to wear Black KLUFC match day shorts, and bring along both black and white socks to each game (to avoid colour clashes). These items (and more) are available to order from the Lightwood Park clubrooms or via our KLUFC Online Store.

Our Guarantee

We aim to offer a place in our Youth Playing Membership to everyone that registers.  On some very rare occasions, we may not be able to offer a place in a team.  This may be due to there being insufficient numbers in an age group to form a team.  We guarantee to make every effort to find a suitable playing opportunity for everyone that registers, however, sometimes it is beyond our ability to achieve this.  As such, the earlier you register, the greater our ability is to form teams, recruit additional players if needed, and therefore provide you with a place in our program for the season.
