Term 4 ‘Intro to Youth’ and ‘Spring Training’ – Make a start on season 2025

New and existing players welcome !  The 6 week Term 4 program for boys and girls kicks off Monday 4th November at Leslie Vale Recreation Ground. New players are encouraged to ‘come try’ for a one week period before committing if they are uncertain.

Training

  • 6 Week training block where session focus is on technical skills, small sided games and maintaining fitness.  
  • Players can attend 1 or 2 sessions per week.
  • Sessions are age group based, or mixture of age groups subject to cohort size.
  • While attendance isn’t a prerequisite for team selection in 2025, attendance and development during this important period may ultimately influence future team selections.
  • Spring training concludes with intra-club friendly matches in December

Schedule – from week commencing  4th November 2024 running to 13th December 2024.
(note – players  are encouraged to attend both nights however if another sport or activity prevents this, please sign up for just the one night a week:

  • Boys Intro to Youth (U13 in 2025) –  Monday/Thursday 4:15-5:45 pm
  • Boys Spring Training (U14/15/16 in 2025) –  Monday/Thursday 5:30-7:00 pm
  • Girls Intro to Youth (U13 in 2025) –  Tuesday/Friday 4:15-5:45 pm
  • Girls Spring Training (U14/15/16 in 2025) –   Tuesday/Friday   5:30-7:00 pm

Equipment

Players require the below equipment for every session:

  • Training shirt, shorts & socks (Kappa gear can be purchased online. Existing Umbro gear can be worn until it needs replacing)
  • Football boots
  • Shin pads covered with football socks
  • A full water bottle

Volunteers: KLUFC welcomes and supports volunteers wanting to take on coaching, team manager, first aid or sports trainer roles. Contact [email protected] if you are interested in assisting.

Parent Agreement: I give KLUFC permission to publish photos of our training sessions, games or clinics on the KLUFC website, Facebook page and/or the Kingborough Chronicle. If you do not consent to this please advise [email protected].

Please select your training frequency for Terms 4. We encourage all youth players to train at least 2 sessions a week.
